Casey Anthony Trial

Hello,
I am new to blogging and would appreciate any tips, comments or feedback you can provide. I like to follow celebrity gossip and I thought I might try writing about it, since they say to write what you know and what interests you.  The following are just my opinions or observations, Please feel free to leave your opinions below. I would like to start by saying how horrible this case really is, it has been sensationalized in the media and is even being compared to the OJ Simpson trial.  Only the evidence is left to speak for little Caylee, but I think her mother should tell the truth. Whether it was her fault or her fathers or an accidental drowning, she has told too many different stories to be a credible person.

I wonder if the defense is trying to set things up to call for a mistrial after all the antics that have occurred in the court.  If they cant create reasonable doubt by convincing the jury of the alleged involvment of Casey's father, they will have to convince the jury that it was an drowning accident and she panicked, which is hard to prove thanks to her party spree.

I thought our justice system entitled people to a swift and speedy trial, but Casey was indicted in Oct 2008 but the trial didn't begin until May 2011.  I understand they took time to get their case together but  is our justice system so backed up that it takes 2 1/2 years to begin a trial?  Not to mention that her arrest in Oct was her 4th arrest since the first arrest in August that year, charges including fraud and theft.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families who have missing children or loved ones that have been lost to tragedy.
