Today the court will hear closing arguments on the Casey Anthony trial, but how much longer until the jury can reach a decision? The O.J. Simpson case spanned 6 months of testimoney and it only took the jurors 4 hours to reach a not guilty verdict. This case seems to be a lot more complicated, however, and I wonder if the jury will be able to reach a decision at all. Although, both of Casey's parents testified, neither seems to be very credible. It is believed that Cindy Anthony purgered herself on the stand by saying that she had done the search for "how to make chloriphorm" on her home computer, while there is proof that she was at her workplace when the search took place. Then George Anthony's testimony was questioned when the woman he allegedly had an affair with claimed he told her "it was an accident that got out of control".
I don't see why her parents would lie on the stand unless they are somehow involved in the death or disposal of the body. Someone in her family had to know some of what was going on because Casey couldn't have done it alone. From what I gathered from the meter reader's testimony, he was there at the location where the body was eventually found one month prior to its discovery. Casey Anthony was in jail during this time and could not have put the body where it was discovered. I am not saying she wasn't involved, I just think she had help. If it was a drowning accident she probably did panic, but why wouldn't 911 be her first instinct?
I hope the jury makes a decision and stops this from dragging out any longer.
